Al-Ahli Intensifies Preparations for Damac with a Strong Program and a Moroccan Friendly Match
Al-Ahli team resumed their group training sessions under the leadership of German coach Matthias Jaissle, in preparation for the resumption of competitions following the current break period during which the Saudi national team is participating in the Arab Cup held in Qatar from December 1 to 18.
The players returned to the club's headquarters in Jeddah after a 7-day break, according to Al-Riyadiyah newspaper, to begin an intensive preparatory phase ahead of the return of the Roshn Saudi League.
During this phase, Jaissle works on improving his players' fitness levels through various training sessions and internal drills, in addition to preparing for a friendly match against Morocco's Raja on December 12 in Jeddah.
The approval for this friendly match came with the aim of testing the players' physical and technical readiness, taking advantage of the competition's break to improve performance before the upcoming rounds of the league resume.
Al-Ahli occupies fourth place in the Roshn Saudi League standings with 19 points after 9 rounds, as the team seeks to strengthen its position in the top ranks in the upcoming period.
Al-Ahli is preparing to face Damac away on December 19th, as part of the tenth round of the league. The team is also currently in fourth place in the AFC Champions League Elite with 10 points and is looking forward to facing Al-Hilal in the King Salman Cup semi-final next February.
