Jordan Qualifies for the Arab Cup Quarterfinals by Defeating Kuwait

The Jordanian national team achieved an important victory over their Kuwaiti counterpart with a score of 3-1, in the match that brought them together today as part of the second round of Group C in the Arab Cup held in Qatar.

With this win, the "Nashama" team raised their points to 6, officially securing their qualification to the quarterfinals of the tournament, while the Kuwaiti team remained with one point in third place temporarily.

The first goal for Jordan came in the 17th minute and was scored by Muhannad Abu Taha with a powerful rocket shot that found the back of the Kuwaiti goalkeeper’s net, giving his team the lead.

Defender Saad Al-Rousan strengthened Jordan’s lead at the beginning of the second half by launching a strong shot from inside the penalty area, confirming his team’s control over the course of the match.

In the 84th minute, the Kuwaiti Blue reduced the deficit with a goal scored by veteran striker Youssef Nasser from a beautiful header.

Ali Alwan scored the third goal for Jordan in the final seconds of the match after successfully converting a penalty kick into the net.
