The Palestinian national team refused to leave the match against Tunisia in the ongoing Group Stage Round 2 of the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar as losers, managing to come back and equalize in the second half.

The match was held at Lusail Stadium, where the Tunisian national team took the lead in the 16th minute through Amour Layouni, before Firas Chaouat added a second goal in the 51st minute, giving his team a comfortable advantage.

On the other hand, the Palestinian team managed to reduce the gap in the 61st minute through Hamed Hamdan, and then, five minutes before the end of regular time, scored the equalizer in the 85th minute, demonstrating their determination to hold on to a positive result until the very last moments.

The Tunisian national team began their campaign in the tournament with a narrow loss to Syria (1-0), while the Palestinian national team started their journey with an important victory over Qatar, the tournament host, boosting their chances in the race for qualification.
