Thursday 04-12-2025
Marwan Atiya, the midfielder of Al Ahly Club, has received several offers from Gulf clubs with doubled salaries, as they seek to sign him in the upcoming period to strengthen their squads.

Atiya is considered one of the key players in Al-Ahly's lineup under the leadership of Danish coach Jes Thorup, regularly participating in important matches, which has increased his market value.

According to a source close to the player, as reported by Al-Watan newspaper, five clubs from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar have contacted Marwan's agent to inquire about the possibility of signing him in the upcoming transfer window.

The source added that Atiya is waiting for the conclusion of his participation with the Egyptian national team in the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco before making a final decision regarding external offers and securing the best financial gains.

The same source indicated that the offers from Gulf clubs are up to four times the salary he currently receives at Al-Ahli, making the opportunity to leave financially attractive.

The newspaper clarified that Al-Ahly Club has not received any official offers so far, and there is an intention to adjust the player's salary to match his level and importance to the team, with this adjustment planned for the end of the season rather than during the upcoming January transfer window.
