Ashraf Sobhi: Qatar's Organization of the Arab Cup is Highly Distinguished
Ashraf Sobhi, the Minister of Youth and Sports, praised Qatar's organization of the Arab Cup, stating that the organization is outstanding and demonstrates that Qatar is capable of hosting major sporting events.
The Arab Cup tournament kicked off today, Monday, and will continue until December 18.
Ashraf Sobhi said in statements during his attendance at the opening of the Arab Cup: "The tournament represents an important Arab gathering that reflects the power of sports in strengthening relations between countries."
He added, "Qatar's organization of the Arab Cup is outstanding, proving that it is capable of hosting major sporting events."
Ashraf Sobhy explained: "Egypt is always keen to actively participate in Arab and international championships, based on the state's support for sports and the political leadership's directives to focus on popular sports, especially football, as a form of soft power."
Before continuing, he said: "I hope to deliver an outstanding performance for the Egyptian national team, and I also wish success to all the participating teams."
He concluded: "The tournament represents a great opportunity for Arab fans to enjoy intense competitions and a football atmosphere that combines enjoyment and excitement."
