Liverpool's head coach Arne Slot appeared in a press statement following the 2-0 victory over West Ham United in the 13th round of the English Premier League at the London Olympic Stadium.

The coach said, "There is definitely a sense of relief because when you lose many times, winning becomes important. We hardly allowed any chances on our goal, and at the same time, we were able to create opportunities for ourselves. In other matches, we gave the opponent more chances than we did today."

He added: "It helps a lot not to concede an early goal after five minutes, because that forces you to open up more. Today, we played the way I wanted us to play."

He emphasized: "What I saw today meant a lot to our players and fans. The fans had to travel a long distance to support a team that was going through a tough period. On Wednesday, we will face Sunderland, and the schedule is very busy for everyone. This was a good first step for us — winning and keeping a clean sheet."

And he concluded about Alexander Isak scoring his first goal in the English Premier League with Liverpool: "Yes, I think it's important. I wasn't planning to keep him on the field for much longer before substituting him."
