Portuguese coach José Gomes, head coach of Al-Fateh, emphasized Al-Hilal's rightful victory and qualification after his team lost the match between them today in the King Salman Cup competition.

Gomes said in the press conference after the match: "We created more chances in this game than we did in the league encounter, but Al Hilal deserved to win and advance."

The Portuguese coach added that his team tried to provide an offensive contribution during the match, while being careful not to give Al-Hilal space in the midfield. He emphasized, "We were aware of the danger of opening up the midfield to Al-Hilal because they have outstanding players."

Gomes pointed out that defensive errors were a direct cause of conceding three goals in a similar manner, explaining: "The difference between today's match and the previous one is that we didn't close down the midfield as we should have."
