Al-Ahli Saudi Club Approaches Announcement of Demiral's Contract Renewal
Al-Ahli Saudi Club is now just steps away from officially announcing the renewal of the contract of their Turkish defender, Merih Demiral, within the next few hours.
Faisal Zaid, the former spokesperson for Al-Ahly Club, confirmed on the program "Action with Walid" that the Al-Ahly management has finalized the agreement with Demiral regarding the contract extension. He pointed out that the official announcement is now just a matter of time, and the details are expected to be revealed soon.
Zaid pointed out that Al-Ahli's management also plans to open the file on renewing the contracts of several foreign and local players in the upcoming period, after completing the step of renewing their contract with the Turkish defender.
The 27-year-old Demiral joined Al-Ahli in the summer of 2023 from Italian club Atalanta and delivered strong performances with the team. He played in 81 matches across various competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists, and helped the team win both the AFC Champions League Elite and the Saudi Super Cup.
