Officially .. Real Madrid Announces Courtois' Absence Against Olympiacos
Spanish club Real Madrid announced that Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will miss their match tomorrow, Wednesday, in the UEFA Champions League due to illness.
The royal team will visit their counterpart Olympiacos in the Greek capital Athens as part of the fifth round of the group stage of Europe's most prestigious cups.
The statement read: "After the examination conducted today by Real Madrid's medical services on our player Thibaut Courtois, he was diagnosed with a virus in the digestive system, and therefore will not travel to Athens. We await the development of his condition."
It is worth noting that Real Madrid is currently in seventh place in the Champions League group standings with 9 points.
