Fears of Real Madrid Disintegration After a Grueling Season
Monday 27-04-2026
Concerns are increasing within the corridors of Real Madrid as the end of a complicated season approaches, amidst physical pressures and successive injuries, opening the door to an unusual scenario within the royal team.

The Spanish newspaper 'AS' revealed an increasing state of caution within the royal club, with a crucial period related to the World Cup approaching, to avoid players sustaining injuries that may prevent them from participating in the international event.

The newspaper explained that this approach is not limited to Real Madrid only, but extends to several European clubs seeking to avoid losing their players at the last moments of the season, especially after previous experiences with significant injuries affecting prominent names like Éder Militão and Gnabry.

The report indicated that Real Madrid's current season is almost settled, after being eliminated from the Champions League at the 'Allianz Arena', along with the widening gap in the Spanish league in favor of Barcelona to 11 points with only five rounds remaining.

This situation created what the newspaper described as the 'danger of disintegration' within the team, where some players prefer to be cautious and avoid physical strain, in the absence of clear competitive goals during the remaining weeks of the season.

According to the report, the team suffers from several notable absences and injuries, primarily defender Éder Militão who will be absent for about four months after undergoing surgery.

The list also included other names like Rodrygo, along with players mentioned in the potential absentees list like Samu, Gvardiol, and Hugo Ekitike.

At the same time, doubts surround the readiness of both Aurélien Tchouaméni due to muscle fatigue, and Kylian Mbappé after sustaining a minor hamstring injury, despite being the league's top scorer with 24 goals, putting him under the threat of losing the competition for the Golden Boot if he misses the final matches.

'AS' pointed out that these circumstances might grant players from the 'La Fábrica' academy a greater opportunity to appear with the first team, in light of the need to compensate for potential absences.

However, on the other hand, this reality might impose additional pressure on the youth teams within the club, especially the Real Madrid Castilla team competing for promotion in the first division RFEF, in addition to the Real Madrid C team fighting for survival.

The report concluded by indicating that what is happening within the first team might extend its impact to all levels of the club in Valdebebas, placing Real Madrid in a delicate phase that combines managing injuries, granting rest to stars, and giving opportunities to youngsters at the same time, in a season described as one of the most exhausting within the royal club.
