Wael Shukr, the football director of Ghazl El Mahalla Club, confirmed that there has been no official communication from Al Ahly regarding the signing of Yahya Zakaria, the team's star player, during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Wael Shaker said in statements on the program "Stad Al-Mahwar": "Al-Ahly was going to sign the quartet Yahia Zakaria, Amr El-Gazzar, Ben Sharqi, and Mahmoud Salah last summer."

He added: "There is a strong relationship between Captain Al-Khatib and Engineer Walid Khalil, the president of Al-Mahalla Club, and an inquiry was made regarding the position of the quartet."

He continued: "The four players were on the verge of joining Al Ahly, but Captain Al-Khatib traveled for a medical treatment trip, and all the negotiations were halted at that time."

He emphasized: "After that, the National Bank Club entered into negotiations with El-Gazar and Ben Sharqi, and the deal was completed with the two transferring to the bank. Then, a decision was made not to let Yahya Zakaria leave due to the team's technical needs for this position."

He continued: "Currently, there is no official communication from Al Ahly club to sign Yahya Zakaria. Everything is just through agents, and there is no formal contact."

He concluded: "We are waiting for Yahya Zakaria to perform well in the Arab Cup, and then we will discuss any official offer that reaches the club to decide the player's future."
