Conflicting Reports About Niko Paz's Return to Real Madrid in January
Thursday 27-11-2025
The past few hours have seen significant controversy surrounding the future of Argentine player Niko Paz, a Real Madrid player currently on loan to Como, following conflicting reports about the possibility of his return to the team during the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to TyC Sports network, Real Madrid will activate the option to buy back the player in January, and Niko Paz has already been informed of this decision, indicating the club's desire to bring him back to strengthen the midfield in the second half of the season.

Journalist Jorge Bacon categorically denied this information, confirming that Real Madrid cannot activate the buy-back option in January, and that the clause only allows the player to be re-signed in the summer, not during the winter.

The same source clarified that, so far, no final decision has been made within Real Madrid regarding the return of Niko Paz, leaving the situation uncertain. Meanwhile, the club is seeking solutions to strengthen the midfield amid the pressure of matches in the league and the Champions League.

If the Royal Club decides to bring the player back during the upcoming winter transfer window, they will need to reach an agreement with Como Club, noting that Real Madrid retains the right to buy back the player next summer for around 10 million euros.
