Former Al Ahly Star: Mostafa Shobeir Deserves to Guard Al Ahly's Goal
Ahmed Abu Muslim, former Al Ahly player, confirmed that Mostafa Shobeir deserves to be Al Ahly's goalkeeper, pointing out the decline in Mohamed El-Shenawy's performance.
Abu Muslim said on "Mega FM" radio: "Al-Ahly performed very well against Algeria's JS Kabylie, but the team's defense was unclear."
He added: "Mohamed El-Shenawy's level has declined and he lost his focus, and there is no problem with Mostafa Shobier being the starter; he is more deserving now."
He continued: "Mohamed El Shenawy sitting on the bench is better for Al Ahly right now."
He concluded: "Trezeguet was the best against JS Kabylie, he regained his form and focus, but unfortunately, he still plays too individually."
