Slut: We feel disappointed, and what is happening is my responsibility
Liverpool team coach Arne Slut appeared in press statements after the 3-0 loss against Nottingham Forest in the twelfth round of the English Premier League.
The coach said: "We feel another great disappointment. We started the match well during the first half hour. After conceding the 1-0 goal, we were no longer able to play the way we appeared in the first 30 minutes."
He added regarding the first goal decision: "I don't know, I heard it wasn't offside, and if it wasn't offside then there is nothing to discuss. We were creating chances and waiting to score a goal, but the set piece changed everything, and they scored the two goals."
He continued: "Whether things go well or badly, this is my responsibility. We were not able to create enough chances. I tried to adjust some things but it didn’t work. We couldn’t score a goal. In this stadium, you don’t know what might happen; if you score a goal, things can turn in your favor."
Regarding conceding an early goal in the second half, he said: "Of course, that was impactful. The situation was really difficult and we were trailing 1-0 against a team defending with all their players."
He emphasized: "It’s simple. In a few days we will play in the Champions League, then we have three Premier League matches in a short period. You have to hold your head up and work very hard. We try every day."
He concluded his talk: "Having experienced and quality players is always beneficial, but it is not working with us at this moment."
