Despite the player's strong desire to leave in search of more playing time and his keenness to work under the leadership of Gian Piero Gasperini, the deal faces a significant financial obstacle that threatens to turn it into a complicated task.

The report explained that the main problem lies in the high commissions demanded by Zirkzee's agent, with the same source describing these demands as excessively high, which could hinder negotiations despite the player's and club's agreement on other aspects.

The report added that Manchester United rejects the idea of a dry loan or a loan with a purchase option, pushing Roma to consider a loan offer with an obligation to buy that would be activated if the team qualifies for the Champions League.

The Giallorossi management sees the revenues from the continental competition in the 2026/2027 season as the ideal means to finance the deal definitively.
