Al Ahly Settles the Debate and Denies Entering Negotiations with Rabia
Wednesday 19-11-2025
Officials of the Egyptian club Al Ahly have settled the ongoing debate in recent days regarding the possibility of re-signing the former team defender Rami Rabia during the upcoming winter transfer window, confirming that there are no official moves in this matter.

According to Al-Ahram newspaper, Al Ahly's management completely denied the reports about any contacts with Rabia, pointing out that the player is under a valid contract with the UAE club Al Ain, which makes the idea of his return currently not on the table.

Sources confirmed that Al Ahly is focusing in the upcoming winter transfer market on signing young defenders with the aim of building a defensive line for the future, and that the club has not opened any communication channel with Rabia or his representatives.

Rami Rabia (32 years old) left Al Ahly last summer after his contract expired and no agreement was reached regarding renewal terms, then he moved to Al Ain in the UAE on a two-year contract.

Al Ahly is currently looking to sign a local defender and a foreign one in January, especially given the possibility of the departure of Moroccan player Ashraf Dari, who has suffered from recurring injuries during the past period.
