The media personality Ahmed Shobair praised the performance of Al Ahly's former star, the Malian Aliou Dieng, in the match against Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup final.

Ahmed Shobair stated in a radio interview: "The two most important defenders in yesterday's match were Marwan Attia and El-Yo Diang. Diang is a gem, so you must give him his due respect. I find it very strange that a player who doesn't cause any problems follows the coach's instructions; if he says you won't play, he says okay. If he says you'll play for fifteen minutes, that's fine.
