Majid Bouguerra, the head coach of the Algeria national team, clarified the situation regarding the reliance on the experienced star Youssef Belaïli in the squad that will participate in the Arab Cup.
This comes after Vladimir Petkovic, the head coach of the national team, excluded the player from Tunisian club Esperance from the squad that will face Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia in friendly matches this month.
Bougra said, "We will meet with coach Petkovic after the current round to determine which players from the national team we can call up for the Arab Cup."
Currently, Belaili is considered a key player for the national team, and his absence this month does not mean he will miss the Africa Cup of Nations.
