Yurtchich: Ready to Face Zamalek Despite Many Absences
Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić of Pyramids confirmed that his team is ready to face Zamalek despite the many absences.
Pyramids will face Zamalek today, Thursday, at 7:30 PM Cairo time in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Super Cup.
Yurtchich said at the press conference before the match: "We are happy to be in Abu Dhabi for the Egyptian Super Cup. The match against Zamalek is significant, and the team is in good form. The atmosphere within the team is perfect, and the players' current goal is to win another title after recently securing four continental and local championships."
He added, "There were events that took place in the last match against Zamalek in the previous edition after the goal scored in the dying moments was disallowed. However, in any case, it is a strong match against Zamalek, and we must win it at all costs. He pointed out that if we win and advance, he won't be too concerned about who we will face in the final, as both Al Ahly and Ceramica are strong teams, and facing either of them will be extremely challenging."
Yurtchić pointed out that participation in this edition is completely different, and Pyramids now has the sufficient experience for major confrontations.
The Pyramids coach emphasized that the team will be missing several important players, including Ramadan Sobhi, Mostafa Fathi, Osama Galal, and Blati Toure. Similarly, Zamalek will be without Donga and Bizira, who are indeed a strong duo. However, regardless of the absences, the match will be extremely competitive.
Yurtchich confirmed that all four clubs participating in the Super Cup have a chance to win the title, and indeed everyone has an opportunity, with Pyramids ready to win in the upcoming stage.
