Schaufalier: If we must lose, it's better to lose now
Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Lucas Schaufalier spoke after the loss to Bayern Munich with a score of 2-1 in the fourth round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, confirming that losing is part of football and must be dealt with wisely.
Schaufalier said: "We came out feeling somewhat bitter, there were some opportunities that came our way, and we thought we could come back to a 2-2 draw, so the feeling was bitter, certainly losing a match is never pleasant, but the truth today is not necessarily the truth tomorrow."
He added: "If we must lose matches, it is better to lose them now; Paris Saint-Germain last season, at this time of the season, was facing difficulties, yet it managed to win the UEFA Champions League, there is no problem, we faced a very strong team that has not tasted defeat since the beginning of the season, and that makes it natural."
He continued: "The most important thing now is to remain cohesive and patient, we will continue to work hard in training, and look forward to winning the upcoming matches, football is full of challenges, but cohesion and teamwork are the way to achieve positive results."
