Al-Hilal's Offer for Hossawi Sparks Controversy
Monday 03-11-2025
The President of Al-Khaleej Club, Engineer Ahmed Khreida, revealed that Al-Hilal has not made a clear financial offer to acquire player Murad Hossawi, indicating that what has reached the club so far does not exceed expressing a desire to contract with the player without specifying the value of the deal.

Khreida explained that the Al-Hilal offer was merely a message indicating the desire to buy the remainder of Hossawi's contract, without including any financial details, stressing that the young player is still tied to a long contract with Al-Khaleej that extends until 2029.

The President of Al-Khaleej pointed out that selling Hossawi's contract includes a clause that grants Al-Ahly Club a portion of the deal's value, according to the previous agreement between the two parties, confirming that the club's management may set a value reaching 100 million riyals to part with the player, with the possibility of negotiation depending on seriousness and payment method.

Khreida indicated that the club is working to separate the offers file from the player to ensure that his focus on the field is not affected, clarifying that Hossawi shows high professionalism and a desire to develop, which makes him a key option in the team amidst a motivating environment for young players.

He noted that the transfer experience of Saleh Abu Shamat to Al-Ahli for less than 8 million riyals is not comparable to Hossawi's current situation, whether in terms of circumstances or the player's technical value, who has stood out significantly this season.

Khreida praised Hossawi's brilliance, which has made him a candidate to appear with the national team, while Greek coach Donis considered the player one of the most prominent rising talents in Saudi football, prompting him to rely on him as a starter.

On another note, the coaching staff of Al-Khaleej emphasized the importance of complete focus in the upcoming matches, following the dramatic draw against Al-Ittihad despite leading by four goals, especially since the team had a tiring match in the King's Cup days earlier.

In a related context, Norwegian striker Joshua King expressed his shock at the scenario of the Al-Ittihad match, confirming that the team is looking to compensate for what happened and focus on continuing to compete in the league and cup, especially after reaching the top of the scorers with 9 goals, tied with Joao Felix.

Al-Khaleej will miss the services of Murad Hossawi in the upcoming match against Al-Hazm due to suspension, marking another blow to the team's midfield, which also lacks its Greek captain, Dimitros.
