Hamdallah's Readiness Tested Before Gulf Match Against Al Rayyan
Moroccan striker Abdul Razak Hamdallah of Al Shabab team is preparing to undergo critical physical and technical tests to determine his eligibility to join the team's squad against Qatari Al Rayyan next Tuesday, as part of the third round of the group stage in the Gulf Champions League.
Special sources informed "Al Riyadiyah" that the player returned to participate in collective training before the recent match against Al Hilal, after completing his rehabilitation program following a muscle injury he sustained while playing with his national team for locals against Kuwait on October 14.
The same sources indicated that Spanish coach Imanol Alguacil decided not to include Hamdallah in the match against Al Hilal in the seventh round of the Roshen League, in order to avoid exposing him to a setback that could affect his full return.
Should Hamdallah successfully pass the planned examinations, he is expected to join the Lions' delegation traveling to Doha on a private plane provided by the golden member Abdul Rahman bin Turki, as clarified by the sources.
The player had received plasma treatment at the "Viva" medical center in Dubai during the rehabilitation period, in a move aimed at speeding up his recovery from the injury, according to earlier reports.
It is noteworthy that the previous league's top scorer has participated in only three matches with Al Shabab this season without scoring any goals, but he has contributed to the creation of one goal so far, while awaiting his full return to support the attacking line.
