Manchester United Monitoring Vitor Roque and Barcelona May Benefit Financially
Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that Manchester United has shown interest in signing Brazilian striker Vitor Roque, the current Palmeiras player and former Barcelona player, following his impressive performances recently and leading his team to the Copa Libertadores final.
The newspaper explained that the English club is closely monitoring the player and may make an offer of up to 50 million euros for his transfer, especially after he regained his form and scored eight goals and provided four assists in ten matches with Palmeiras.
"Sport" pointed out that the transfer of Vitor Roque to Palmeiras was the most expensive in the history of Brazilian football, as the club paid 25.5 million euros to Barcelona, in addition to 5 million in variables for 80% of the player's rights, while Barcelona retains 20% of the value of any future sale, which could grant them 10 million euros if the potential deal with Manchester United goes through.
The newspaper confirmed that Barcelona is closely monitoring the player's situation, especially since the management sees the possibility of achieving future financial gains from his rights, despite the fact that his previous sporting experience with them was not successful.
