Yaizlah Comments on Al-Ahli's Draw with Al-Riyadh
Matias Yaizlah, the coach of Saudi Al-Ahli, commented on his team's draw with Al-Riyadh in the league.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw during the seventh round of the Saudi Professional League.
Yaizlah said in the press conference after the match: "A disappointing result, the goal was to secure all the points, and we apologize to the fans."
He added: "We needed to find more speed and create a greater offensive density in the penalty area, especially when playing against teams that defend in this manner."
Yaizlah continued: "In terms of performance, there wasn't much difference from the match against Al-Gharafa, the difference is that we didn't capitalize on our chances; the expected goals today exceeded an average of two, we should have been more efficient in converting chances into goals."
He concluded: "Our decision was clearly to play offensively, and we then decided to play with three at the back; we must finish the chances we get. I don't want to talk about a specific player here, but we created many opportunities and did not capitalize on them."
