Rodgers Resigns from Celtic Coaching Position
Brendan Rodgers has resigned from his position as the head coach of Celtic after the modest start that the Scottish team has had this season.
Former coach Martin O'Neill and former player Shaun Maloney will temporarily take charge of the team, as announced.
Celtic is currently in second place in the league after 9 rounds, 8 points behind the leaders Hearts, with the gap widening on Sunday after a 1-3 loss to Hearts.
The Northern Irish coach had begun his second spell at Celtic in 2023, having previously managed the team from 2016 to 2019.
There is talk of the possibility of Australian coach Ange Postecoglou returning to manage the team, after he was recently dismissed from his position at Nottingham Forest in England.
