The Italian player Federico Chiesa was crowned Liverpool's Player of the Month for September after topping the fan vote on the official website.

According to the club's official website, Chiesa received 34% of the total votes, surpassing Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker and Gravenberch, who came in second and third with 10% each. This is the first time the Italian star has won the award since joining Liverpool.

Chiesa said during his acceptance of the award: "I am very happy with this honor, and I thank the fans for their support and for voting for me. I would have preferred not to win it and for us to achieve more victories, but I am very grateful for this recognition. The support from the fans is always amazing, and I try to give my best in every match for them and for Liverpool."

According to the club's official website, Chiesa participated in three matches during September, contributing three goal involvements. He shone in the team's victory over Southampton in the English League Cup, where he assisted two goals for his teammates Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, earning the Man of the Match award, before scoring a goal in the match against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The player added: "I was happy after the Southampton match because we won, but against Crystal Palace, we did not achieve a positive result, so I did not feel satisfied despite scoring. I will continue to work hard to help the team and make the fans happy."
