The Saudi Sports newspaper revealed that the player will undergo a decisive medical test on Wednesday to assess his readiness to return to the starting lineup after being sidelined recently due to an ankle injury.

The newspaper clarified that Jaissle preferred to exclude Ibanez from the match against Qatari Al-Gharafa in the Asian Champions League held yesterday, despite his improved condition and participation in the team's collective training last Sunday.

Reports confirmed that the medical staff at Al-Ahli does not want to take the risk of playing the player before being completely sure of his recovery, especially with a busy match schedule in the upcoming weeks in both the league and Asian competitions.

Meanwhile, the coaching staff is working to prepare defensive alternatives in anticipation of Ibanez's continued absence, while focusing on raising the physical readiness of all players to ensure defensive stability in the upcoming matches.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Ahli achieved a significant victory over Al-Najma with a clean four-goal sheet in the third round of the Asian Champions League, temporarily placing them at the top of Group B with seven points, amid the strong performance the team is showcasing this season.
