Police goalkeeper Ahmed Basel continues to present negative statistics in the AFC Champions League, after conceding a large number of goals during his participation in the last two editions with the team, making him one of the goalkeepers with the most goals conceded in the continental tournament.

In the last edition, Basel received multiple goals from various Asian teams, as his net was shaken first by Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia with one goal, before conceding a total of five goals from Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia, three goals from Al-Wasl of the UAE, in addition to two goals from Persepolis of Iran, bringing his total conceded in the last season to eleven goals.

As for the current edition of the tournament, the Iraqi keeper continued to struggle in defending his goal, as he conceded one goal from Al-Sadd of Qatar, two goals from Al-Gharafa, and four goals at once against Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia in the third round, raising his total tally to twenty-three goals during his Asian participations.
