Referee Expert: Al-Ahli's Penalty is Incorrect
Referee expert Abdullah Al-Qahhtani revealed the validity of the penalty awarded to Al-Ahli against Al-Shabab in the top match of the fifth round of the Roshn Saudi Professional League.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, held at the Al-Naima Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City.
Al-Qahhtani stated in his talk on the program "Dourina Ghair" that Al-Ahli's penalty is incorrect because the Al-Shabab player did not commit any foul in the situation.
He added: "Ivan Toney, Al-Ahli's striker, was the one who initiated the contact with the Al-Shabab player at the level of the hand and foot."
