Michel Gonzalez, the head coach of Al-Qadisiyah, revealed the secret behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's departure from the club last summer.

Gonzalez stated in media remarks: "I am not the only one making decisions within Al-Qadisiyah regarding contract renewals or player sales; the club decided to sign a younger player, the top scorer in the Italian league."

He continued: "Matteo Retegui is a fantastic player with great potential, but at the moment, he is with the Italian national team, where he is the first-choice striker, and there is confidence in him to continue achieving success."
