Although the Golden Boy Award is given to the best player under 21, which applies to Lamine Yamal, who is 18 years old, he is absent from the final list. Yamal's absence is due to the rules of the Golden Boy Award, which prevent any player who has previously won the award from being nominated again.

The young Spanish star had won the Golden Boy Award for 2024 at the age of 17.
