French star Simon Bouabri, player of Neom Sports Club and the French youth national team, returned to Tabuk this evening, Wednesday, coming from Chile, after his remarkable participation in the Youth World Cup, where he led his national team to the semi-finals.
Special sources confirmed to "Asharq Al-Awsat" that the player will officially participate in his team's upcoming match against Al-Qadisiyah on Sunday, after receiving the green light from the coaching staff following his immediate joining of the group training.
Bouabri had caught attention during the international break, as he played the matches against Japan in the Round of 16 and Norway in the quarter-finals, successfully scoring two decisive goals and winning the Man of the Match award in the latter match.
The same sources clarified that his teammate, French defender Nathan Zizi, a player for the French U21 national team, also joined the team’s training this morning, alongside Uruguayan Luciano Rodriguez, who returned from his international duty.
The training also witnessed the return of Abdul Malik Al-Ayiri and Abbas Al-Hassan, players of the Saudi Olympic national team, in addition to striker Thamer Al-Khaibari, who recently concluded his participation with the Kingdom's youth team in the World Cup.
Neom is preparing to face Al-Qadisiyah, currently sitting in fourth place with 9 points, just one point behind Al-Qadisiyah in second place, in a match expected to carry a strong competitive character between the two teams.
