Ivory Coast Qualifies for the World Cup After 12 Years
The Ivory Coast national team succeeded in qualifying for the World Cup finals for the fourth time in its history after winning the decisive match against Kenya "3-0".
This qualification comes after a 12-year absence, as the last appearance of the Elephants in the finals was in the 2014 edition in Brazil.
This is the first qualification for Ivory Coast to the World Cup under the leadership of a local coach, Emerci Faï, a former player of the national team.
Faï took over the coaching of the team in 2024, after a stint with the under-23 national team, preceded by an experience with the Clermont Foot reserve team.
