Lewandowski's Departure from Barcelona.. and the Club Begins Searching for His Replacement
Sunday 12-10-2025
It seems that the future of Polish star Robert Lewandowski with FC Barcelona is nearing its end, as the club's management has decided not to renew his contract, according to what the Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported.

The newspaper explained that Lewandowski's declining performance, along with his advancing age and inability to press at the same pace as his teammates, were among the main reasons that led the club to make the decision not to retain him for the next season.

The report confirmed that Barcelona has already begun taking the necessary steps to search for a replacement for the 37-year-old striker, as this issue is a priority for the management in their plans for the upcoming season, alongside signing a new right-back.

The newspaper added that the Catalan club does not intend to rely on a striker with the same characteristics as Lewandowski, but prefers to sign a younger player, such as Iñaki Williams from Levante, to create competition with Ferran Torres in the attacking line.

The newspaper also noted that Lewandowski's future is still uncertain, as it remains unclear whether he will decide to continue his career for another season or two, or choose to retire and settle in Catalonia, especially since his family, led by his wife Anna, prefers to stay there.

The newspaper mentioned that the Polish striker is not considering accepting offers from Arab clubs, and if he decides to continue, it will be at a club close to the city of Barcelona.
