Flick: We Must Learn from Mistakes, and We Will Fight for All Titles After the International Break
Sunday 05-10-2025
The German coach Hans Flick, the head coach of Barcelona, expressed his dissatisfaction with his team's performance following the heavy loss to Sevilla by a score of 4-1 in the match held at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium as part of the eighth round of La Liga.

Flick said: "The first half was not good for us, as Sevilla played one-on-one and was more aggressive. We did not have the solutions, and that is not good. In the second half, I greatly appreciate the team's reaction. I do not want to talk about the two goals or excuses; what matters is that we showed a good reaction. This loss is important for us to learn from, and after the break, we will fight for all titles because we are a good team."

He added: "I am not angry; everyone saw what happened. In the second half, we were better, but no one likes to lose 4-1; it is a harsh result, but in the end, it is just a match. It is true that we lacked some sharpness, but I prefer to think positively. We need to analyze what happened in the first half, and I will not talk about the refereeing."

Flick continued: "We made clear mistakes in the first half, but we played in our usual way. We had a chance to score the second goal, but the match changed. As I said after the match against Paris Saint-Germain, we need to learn from these matches, and we will do that. After the break, some players who we need will return."

The Barcelona coach concluded his statements by saying: "We have to accept the loss and look ahead. There are things we need to improve, and we could not control the match with the ball as we wanted. The worst defeat for me was in the Milan semi-final, but this one is also painful. After the break, we will work hard to regain our level, and we will fight for all competitions."
