The official website of Arsenal has announced that the team's captain Martin Ødegaard has sustained a knee injury, which has led to his exclusion from the Norway national team squad during the upcoming international break.

The club clarified that Ødegaard suffered a sprain in the medial collateral ligament of his left knee during the first half of Arsenal's match against West Ham United in the Premier League last Saturday.

The statement confirmed that the player will continue to undergo evaluation and treatment under the supervision of the medical staff at the club's training center, to expedite his recovery process and return to the pitch as soon as possible.

Arsenal hopes to have their captain back soon, especially given the importance of his roles within the team, both in terms of playmaking and leading the group on the field.
