Friday 03-10-2025
The Arbil team managed to secure its match against Al-Karma with a score of 2-1, in the match that took place this Friday evening at Duhok Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the Iraqi Stars League for the current season 2025-2026. The match was exciting from the first minutes, with a good crowd presence and a thrilling atmosphere.

Arbil entered the match strongly and imposed its control over the game, translating its superiority into an early goal scored by its Uzbek striker Timirov in the 26th minute, taking advantage of the confusion in Al-Karma's defense.

However, the response from the Western Falcons team did not take long, as Moamen Abdul Redha equalized in the 44th minute after a coordinated attack that brought the match back to square one.

Despite Al-Karma's comeback, Arbil continued to apply pressure, with Tunisian player Moataz Zidane scoring the second goal in the 45+1 minute, giving his team the lead before the end of the first half.

The second half witnessed caution from both teams, as Arbil tried to secure its lead while Al-Karma sought to return to the match, but the yellow team's defense remained solid until the final whistle.

The most notable events of the match included the exit of international striker Ayman Hussein due to injury in the 15th minute, which raised concerns among both Al-Karma fans and the Iraqi national team, especially since the player was recently called up to the 'Lions of Mesopotamia' list for the Asian playoff matches qualifying for the 2026 World Cup against Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
