Media figure Khaled El Ghandour stated during the "Stadium Al-Mohar" program that it has been confirmed that Imam Ashour, the Al Ahly star, will miss the Egyptian national team camp for the matches against Djibouti and Guinea-Bissau.
The Egyptian national team will face Djibouti and Guinea-Bissau on October 8 and 12, respectively, in the Africa qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
El Ghandour explained that the national team staff confirmed with the team doctor, Dr. Mohamed Abu Al-Ala, that Imam Ashour's health condition is unstable, especially after contracting Virus A, and that he will gradually return to Al Ahly training over the next 10 days.
Imam Ashour will begin rehabilitation gradually after being absent for a long period from training, with plans to return to group training after the upcoming international break.
