Announcement Date for Marc Bernal's Contract Renewal
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that young midfielder Marc Bernal will sign his contract renewal with FC Barcelona tomorrow, Monday, at the club's commercial office at 2:15 PM Cairo time, in an official ceremony attended by media with limited seating.
Barcelona had modified his contract, which was set to last until June 2026, in September 2024, just a month after Bernal's severe knee injury, adding three optional years until 2029, with a buyout clause set at 500 million euros.
This ceremony takes place just two days before the anticipated match against Paris Saint-Germain, after the club and the player agreed on the timing following several previous delays.
Bernal recently returned to participation after a 383-day absence due to a serious knee injury, where he appeared against Valencia and then played for a few minutes against Getafe, gradually re-entering the match atmosphere.
