Bayern Munich Clarifies Kane's Future

Bayern Munich's sporting director Max Eberl confirmed that any decision regarding a return to Tottenham Hotspur for Harry Kane will be made solely by the English striker himself.

Reports have linked Kane with a return to Tottenham at some point in the near future, partly due to an alleged clause agreed upon as part of his transfer to Bayern Munich.

When asked about the matter, Tottenham's Danish coach Thomas Frank stated that he and everyone would welcome Kane with open arms if he wishes to return.

Bayern is downplaying the idea, explaining that they plan for Kane to stay long-term and do not believe he will leave anytime soon.

Eberl said: "He is old enough to make his own decisions, whether there is a clause or not – if he says he wants to make a decision, he will, as he has shown at Tottenham. But our desire, of course, is to be very successful with Harry this season and in the future."

He continued: "At his age, he is making great strides on the field. We all knew him from Tottenham for his goal-scoring skills, but the way he plays football now in this team, leading the way on the pitch as a captain, sacrificing himself for the team, shows: he simply wants to win titles! That is his hunger, he can do it with us, we want to do it with him."

Belgian coach Vincent Kompany of the Bavarian team commented on the subject, saying: "Harry Kane is going through an excellent phase. I don't want to open the door to any further discussion. He wants to win titles, and he is capable of doing that with Bayern. That is my only focus."
