Dams: We Will Try to Settle the Pyramids Match from the Start
Belgian player Matteo Dams of Saudi Al-Ahli confirmed that his team will play with full strength against Pyramids in the anticipated match between them today, Tuesday, as part of the Intercontinental Cup.
Al-Ahli hosts its counterpart Pyramids for the title of the Intercontinental Cup encompassing Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
Dams said: "It will be a strong confrontation as usual; finals are always tough, but if we give our best and play in our distinctive way, we will achieve our goal and lift the cup."
He added: "I don't feel any pressure regarding the final; we have prepared for the match as we always do, with good training sessions, and everyone feels comfortable and is focused on this confrontation."
He concluded: "If we show our natural level from the start, the scenario of falling behind in the score against Al-Hilal will not be repeated, and our goal is to learn from such encounters. I have confidence in our ability to settle the match from the start."
