Diyala Club achieved a valuable victory over its host Najaf with a score of one goal to nil, in the match that took place this evening at the Najaf International Stadium, as part of the second round of the Iraqi Stars League.

The only goal of the match was scored by player Thamer Al-Salhi in the 34th minute, after he seized a clear opportunity inside the penalty area and confidently placed it in the net, granting his team three precious points.

With this victory, Diyala continued its impressive start after previously defeating Baghdad's Amanah in the first round with a score of (2-1), reaching six points in total and confirming its determination to have an exceptional season.

On the other hand, Najaf continues to suffer from a series of negative results, as it has been unable to recover from the setback of the first round where it lost to Erbil (3-2), remaining without any points after two rounds of the tournament.
