Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Czesny acknowledged his new role at Barcelona after being a key player in achieving the treble last season, confirming that he is handling the situation quite naturally.

Czesny said: "I am a substitute, and barring surprises, I will remain so. My mission this season is to prepare Juan Garcia in the best possible way for the matches."

The Polish goalkeeper added: "I believe Juan has tremendous potential, and he is already among the best goalkeepers in Europe physically. I am very proud to play this role, as I have been prepared for it since I signed my new contract."

Despite being used to starting in previous seasons, Czesny confirmed that he does not feel frustrated with his current situation: "I am not frustrated; Juan lacks experience at the highest level, and I will try to help him maintain a consistent level throughout the season. It is not easy to play every three days under great pressure, and that is what he needs to learn. I hope I can contribute to his success."
