Matias Yaisle, the coach of Saudi Al-Ahli, confirmed that his team aims to continue their achievements in this season's elite AFC Champions League.
Al-Ahli will face their Uzbek counterpart Nasaf tomorrow evening, Monday, in the first round of the group stage.
Yaisle said in the press conference before the match: "Everyone is excited for tomorrow's match, and we have beautiful memories from the last edition. We are happy that the start is at home and among our fans, and we strive to continue our achievements in this edition as well."
He added: "We fully understand the strength of Nasaf, but we will play to our strengths to achieve victory, especially since the tournament requires a strong start."
Regarding the readiness of Al-Ahli's players, Yaisle said: "We have some players who suffered injuries during their international appearances, and I am not happy about this matter."
He added: "But we still have one more night to recover. We hope that Saleh Abu Shamat will be ready to participate tomorrow."
