Ghazl El Mahalla President: We Refused Al Ahly's Request to Sign Yahya Zakaria
Walid Khalil, the president of Ghazl El Mahalla Club, confirmed that Al Ahly requested to sign the team's player Yahya Zakaria, but the request was rejected due to the team's need for the player's services.
Walid Khalil stated in remarks via Sada El Balad channel: "Al Ahly requested in the past period to contract with Yahya Zakaria, but we refused to let the player leave at that time due to the team's need for his technical services and the lack of a replacement for him."
He added: "If Al Ahly requests in the upcoming winter transfer window, we might consider selling him in light of having a replacement."
He continued: "Zamalek has not officially requested to sign Yahya Zakaria."
