Al Ahly's Position on Participating in the Capital of Egypt Cup
Media figure Khaled El Ghandour, a former Zamalek star, revealed Al Ahly's position on participating in the Capital of Egypt Cup 2025.
El Ghandour said on the program "Stadium Al-Mahwar": "Mahmoud El Khatib, the Chairman of Al Ahly Club, has given the coaching staff of the red team, led by Emad El Nahas, complete freedom regarding whether to participate in the Capital of Egypt Cup or not."
He added: "Emad El Nahas is discussing the matter with Walid Salah El Din, the football director, and Mohamed Youssef, the sporting director, due to the pressure of matches."
He continued: "There is a tendency within the coaching staff to participate in the tournament to prepare players who have not had the opportunity, along with adding some young elements from the youth and junior teams."
