The Last Day of the Saudi Transfer Market: A Decisive Race and Huge Deals Before Closure
Wednesday 10-09-2025
Intensive preparations continue on the last day of the Saudi summer transfer market, with fierce competition among clubs to finalize pending deals, after the total value of transfers reached 2.4 billion Saudi Riyals by Tuesday afternoon.

Al-Ittihad leads the scene by focusing on signing a local defender, as negotiations with Al-Nassr continue for the transfer of Abdul-Ilah Al-Amri, who performed exceptionally on loan last season, amid high financial demands from the Al-Nassr club.

At the same time, Al-Hilal is closely monitoring its options, with players identified for foreign competitions such as Lodi and Marcos Leonardo, while Akchik is registered for the Under-21 League in preparation for the AFC Champions League and local competitions.

Al-Nassr remains cautious in its moves due to liquidity constraints, but is considering goalkeeper and midfielder options after completing deals for Portuguese João Félix, French Coman, and Spanish Martínez, in addition to strengthening its local squad with Al-Shahrani, Al-Jaber, and Al-Nasser.

As for Al-Ahli, it is experiencing relative calm after completing its foreign deals, with expectations of some local players like Saad Al-Balabid and Bassem Al-Harigi leaving, while Al-Shabab is working to finalize agreements with Yassine Adli and sign Marcelo Grohe and either Saad Al-Balabid or Muhammad Qasim.

Neom is anticipating some movements regarding Marcos Leonardo, while Al-Qadisiyah is working to complete the transfer of Otavio from Al-Nassr, and Al-Taawun continues to strengthen its squad with players like Christopher Zambrano, Fousseni Diabaté, and Gustavo Scarpa, while Damak, Al-Fateh, and Al-Najma are trying to finalize the files of local and foreign players before the end of the period.
