English national team striker Harry Kane appeared in press statements after the 5-0 victory over Serbia in the sixth round of the European qualifiers for the World Cup.

He said: "I talked a lot yesterday about our desire to play - to be on the front foot and play aggressively, and I think we showed our level today. Even in other matches, we performed well, but we didn't reach our peak level.

He added: "We scored five goals and made the match look comfortable. We can be proud of ourselves. It has been a great camp and we are in an excellent position."

He continued: "They found it difficult to play. Whenever they attacked, we recovered quickly. Overall, we can be satisfied with our performance throughout the week, and we will carry this into the next camp. Our energy was higher and our performance level was higher."

He emphasized: "We felt we performed well a few days ago. I know the performance wasn't what everyone was excited about, but we did what we had to do."

He concluded: "Serbia is a good team, and we made them look ordinary tonight."
