Al-Taawoun Makes a Decision and Moves Towards Viver After Diabati Negotiations Halt
Tuesday 09-09-2025
The management of Al-Taawoun Saudi Club has reached an official agreement with Bournemouth English Club to sign French player Romain Viver, according to exclusive sources revealed to the sports newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah".

This approval clearly changes Al-Taawoun's direction, as the management decided to abandon negotiations with Malian international Fousseni Diabati and settle for signing Viver to be the primary option in the midfield.

According to the agreement between the two clubs, the player will join Al-Taawoun on loan for one season, with the right to purchase his contract permanently if he proves himself during the Saudi experience.

The official signing with Viver is scheduled to take place upon his arrival in the Kingdom on Wednesday, after which he will undergo the routine medical examinations that precede the completion of the transfer procedures.

Viver, who is 27 years old, had a remarkable experience last season when he played on loan for Stade Brestois in France, where he participated in 32 matches, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

Al-Taawoun had reached a preliminary agreement a few days ago with Diabati, but the delay in Bournemouth's approval opened the door for finalizing the deal in favor of Viver, making him the first choice for the management to strengthen the midfield.
