Mikel Merino, the Spanish national team player, expressed his great happiness after the wide victory achieved by "La Roja" over Turkey with a score of 6-0 in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Merino said in his remarks: "I am very happy about everything, the victory, the six points from the first two matches, and the big win today, and most importantly, scoring the hat-trick, which is the first in my career. It came against a strong opponent that proved its level in the Euros, and in a difficult Turkish stadium."

He added about scoring goals: "I have been working on developing this aspect of my performance and taking a step forward. Playing as a forward last season made it more natural for me, and fortunately, the ball is going into the net."
